Origin information and geographical indications
For a product sold with a geographical-origin claim, ask for information supporting the origin of the particular goods. A regional designation is different from a blanket endorsement of a retailer or every product it sells.
Check product-specific evidence
Do not assume that a logo, place name or general article proves that an individual business is an authorized user of a protected designation. We do not make that claim without supporting documentation for the relevant goods and use.
